Q1 What does MediQuip Mobile (M) Sdn Bhd do?

MediQuip Mobile (M) Sdn Bhd, (hereafter referred to as MediQuip Mobile) is an affiliation of MediQuip Mobile (UK) Ltd. MediQuip Mobile provides state-of-the-art medical equipments for rental, delivered to your doorstep when you need it, where you need it.

Q2 How long has this company been operating in Malaysia?

MediQuip Mobile is a newly established company in Malaysia and will begin operations in Malaysia in early 2008.

Q3 Who do I deal with when I wish to use your service?

Just put your hospital administrator in touch with us and we will deal directly with them.

Q4 Why should I rent when I can buy the equipment?

MediQuip Mobile takes the responsibility of financial/investment risks and capital outlay off you. When you rent the equipment, it will be delivered on a scheduled need-basis, ready to use with a professional assistant, eg ultrasonographer, accompanying the equipment. You do not have to worry about service contracts or equipment down-time. In most cases, MediQuip Mobile will establish a smart partnership with your institution to rent our equipment for your use.

Q5 Who owns the equipment I will be renting?

MediQuip Mobile owns and operates the mobile medical equipment. Since MediQuip Mobile is the owner, you or your institution will only be dealing with one point of contact.

Q6 What does the rental fee include?

The rental fee includes, unless negotiated otherwise, transportation to and from your location; installation and set-up of the equipment at your location and pick up at the end of the rental period. Professional assistants (eg ultrasonographer) will accompany the equipment. The rental fee is on a per use basis, however, we will be pleased to discuss flexible and tiered rental schemes with you or the institution where you practise.

Q7 What if the mobile equipment is not in working order?

MediQuip Mobile will ensure that the mobile equipment arrives in good working order, inspected and serviced prior to delivery to your location. An application specialist will accompany the equipment to your site and install the equipment to ensure that it is operating properly. In the rare event where the planned procedure cannot be carried out because of equipment malfunctions, we will waive all rental and delivery charges.

Q8 Is there any instructor if I am not familiar with the mobile equipment?

Yes. All our equipment can be delivered with an application specialist who can give you on the spot instructions and help you to use the machine (such as locating the stone on the lithotriptor, controlling the laser machine etc).

Q9 Are there any site/space specifications for the equipment?

Depending on the type of equipment required, MediQuip Mobile will advise you accordingly. For most equipment, your hospital’s/institution’s available space or site facilities will suffice. A site inspection by our application specialist can always be arranged prior to delivery of the equipment.

Q10 What type of electrical supply do I need for the mobile equipment?

Again, this depends on the equipment you rent. Some may require minor adaptations to the electrical supply. A list of requirements for the rented equipment will be provided by MediQuip Mobile in the rental agreement.

Q11 If I have service issues with the quipment, what do I do?

MediQuip Mobile personnel will be on standby/ in attendance for the duration of rental, so there will be on-the-spot solutions to any problem that should arise.

Q12 Who is responsible for consumables?

Associated consumables (eg laser fibres) of rented equipment will be supplied through us at rates specified in the rental terms.

Q13 Is rental based on per day use or per patient use?

The rental depends on per patient use. However, we offer favorable rental rates for multiple sessions over the same day.
